Green Juice & the Stunning Shades of Spring & Summer
I love the way greens come into abundance in the springtime and the acid greens that you see in the new buds and leaves that are about to unfurl. This flavoursome green juice utilises the abundance of greens that are available at the moment and enkindles the digestive fire with a touch of ginger. I prefer making juices during spring and summer when it’s warm and this is a lovely one.
Ingredients:
A large handful of Greens (Kale & Spinach are nice)
1/2 - 1 Lemon or Lime
1/2 - 1 Granny Smith Apple
2-3cm piece of Ginger
1/2 Fennel Bulb
1-2 Celery Stalks
1/2 Cucumber
Sprigs of whatever herbs you have around: Mint, Parsley, Coriander are lovely
Wash everything. Chop Veggies and Fruits and juice. Enjoy!
Tips:
Feel free to make a bigger batch and then you have a couple of days worth.
It also only takes a minute if you wash everything immediately.
